KUALA TERENGGANU: PKR’s national youth wing has lodged a police report against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and 23 Barisan state assemblymen.
The wing’s national deputy chief Fariz Musa and five opposition party members lodged the police report at 4.45pm at the district police station here on Monday, alleging that the Barisan members had made treasonous statements against the Yang DiPertuan Agong, who is also the Sultan of Terengganu.
Fariz claimed the report was made based on statements made by the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and 22 assemblymen in two Malay dailies on March 24.
He claimed the statements were contemptuous and disrespectful of the monarchy.
